Course Project Update - Drainage Repair - December 3, 2018

With work on tee construction complete for the season, LaBar moved on to drainage repair last week.  Work continued through last week's snow and the six inches we received on Sunday.

The project entails removing old clay pipe installed circa 1930 and installing new drainage pipe running from #2 fairway to #8 fairway and from #1 fairway to #9 fairway.  Today work began from #9 fairway across the driveway to the Grounds Maintenance Center.

After drainage work is complete, LaBar will conclude their work for the season.  Remaining work will commence as soon as weather allows in the spring.  Any work yet to complete should not impact the opening of the golf course.

The photo above shows the new drain pipe laid out across #9 fairway, ready to be installed.

The clay pipe is removed and new pipe is installed across #1 and #9 fairways.

Over time the clay pipe collapses.  The old pipe is dug out and new pipe is installed.

The pipe under the driveway leading to the Grounds Maintenance Center collapsed last year.  Temporary repairs were made until the pipe could be replaced this fall.
